Scott Ruth
Vice President of Sales
Scott has been with National Marketshare Group since 2002, starting with us as he was completing his degrees in Business Marketing and International Business at the University of Cincinnati. He started out in the Sales Associate role and has progressed through the company during his time at NMSG to handle many different roles such as Assistant Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Director of Sales – Grocery & Natural Foods, and Vice President – Sales. Scott’s background and knowledge of all aspects of our business will help us continue to focus on satisfying our customers’ and clients’ needs.
Scott Boothe
Director of Grocery
Scott Boothe has been a Sales Manager with National Marketshare Group since 2015. Prior to coming to National Marketshare Group, Scott was with Kroger for 24 years. He worked in at the Mid-Atlantic division office and moved up to Kroger’s General Office in Cincinnati. While at G.O., Scott was a Category Manager in both Natural Foods and Produce departments.
Danny Havel
Vice President of Sales
Danny came to NMSG in 2016 after a 30+ year career in the Broadcasting Industry. Beginning with a small agency in the Northwest, Danny grew his representative lines over 200% at KROGER and BiMart before moving on to become a National Account Manager at Jensen Distribution, focusing solely on KROGER and Jerry’s Home Improvement. Again, Danny oversaw growth in the double digits for both those accounts when he then joined NMSG.
During his tenure with NMSG, Danny has helped land several Private Label contracts and has overseen steady, double-digit growth within the accounts he manages. In 2018, he was promoted to a Director position, and in 2020, was named Vice President of Sales. Based in Portland, Oregon, Danny assists our Manufacturer partners in securing opportunities with our Retailers by utilizing proprietary market analytics, strong consensus-building, and his personal relationships with Management at our Retail Partners.
Chrisanne Hall-Evenson
GM Sales Manager
Coming to NMSG in 2018 as a Sales Manager, Chrisanne is a proud Duck, graduating from University of Oregon in 1987. Chrisanne’s varied experience has seen her working on the retail side of business for 20+ years.
Some of her partnerships have included Nordstrom, Discovery Channel Stores, Goodnight Room, and Sur La Table, to name a few. Her experience has ranged from being a District Sales Manager, to a Store Manager, from a Buyer to managing Retail Sales. In 2012 Chrisanne joined Jensen Distribution Services where she became a Territory Manager, then was promoted to National Account Manager, primarily calling on KROGER and BiMart, where she earned a coveted Vendor of the Year Award in 2017.
Chrisanne’s expertise in the Housewares Category is invaluable to NMSG’s Retail and Manufacturing partners. Her specialty is managing the Private Label process for several Major partners within KROGER.
Ken Eastman
GM Sales Manager
Kenneth Eastman joined National Marketshare Group in 2016 as a GM Sales Manager.
Prior to NMSG Ken was the regional Sales Manager at American Maid Plastics / VMI Imports, managing the sales of everyday and seasonal items to all the major retailers across the country.
Before starting his career in sales, Ken was in retail management at Kroger for 32 years. His knowledge of how KROGER operates at the store level with on-hand experience is of great value when promoting placement of new items for in-line business. Ken is also NMSG’s main point of contact in China, traveling to meet with KROGER Buyers and our Manufacturers for Seasonal Event planning.
Ken’s expertise in Seasonal events and Merchandising assists our Manufacturers with key placement and broad reach throughout the Divisional channel.
Kim Vitali
GM Sales Manager
Kim Vitali has joined National Marketshare Group in 2023 as a GM Sales Manager.
Kim brings a wealth of knowledge as to the processes and structure at KROGER, having started her career in Administrative Support at the GM offices in Portland. Kim then embarked on an 8-year career with an Entertainment Manufacture, working solely with KROGER in a Support and Key Account Manager role.
Kim’s expertise in building and maintaining lasting customer relationships and vibrant and energetic personality is a great addition to our already outstanding staff. She is ready to help support both Manufacturers and the goals of our Retailers.
Chad Snow
GM Sales Manager
Chad Snow joined National Marketshare Group in 2024 as a GM Sales Manager.
Prior to NMSG, Chad worked in retail for 12 years in a variety of roles (including Store Manager, Account Manager, Field Sales Manager, and Loss Prevention). Chad’s experience with Kroger comes from time working in a Field or Account Manager role and servicing the stores in his territory. He has also worked within Kroger (Fred Meyer) for 2 years as a member of the leadership team at store level. He also has experience working in manufacturing and in management at production facilities.
Chad’s experience from a holistic view of sales (from creation to final sale) gives him a well-rounded understanding of business. His ability to work with both manufacturers and retailers with great customer service will be a great support to our team.
Josh Brothers
Director of HBC
Josh has been with National Marketshare Group since 2011, starting after completing his degree in Communication at Hanover College. He started out in the analyst role on the Grocery Team assisting with Planogram writing, moving to General Merchandising Team, and ending on the HBC Team. Josh continued that role for 8 years as the Lead Analyst for Cosmetics at Kroger until Kroger brought that role in internally. While leading the Kroger Cosmetic Analyst Team Josh began his Sales Manager role in 2015 in the HBC Department with his focus on Cosmetics and Beauty. Josh’s expertise in the Cosmetic Category is invaluable to NMSG’s Retail and Manufacturing partners. His experience as an analyst has given him a well-rounded understanding of the needs of both the Retailer as well as the Manufacturer.
Emily Scharfenberger
Sales Manager
Emily joined the National Marketshare Group in 2023, as a Sales Manager. Prior to starting with NMSG, Emily spent over fifteen years in the nonprofit/private sector.
Because of her expertise and strengths of active listening and building relationships, she was tapped to build & manage a sales team for two separate service lines.
This unique role within the nonprofit/private sector cultivated her entrepreneurial spirit as she pivoted sales pitches & built relationships between schools, healthcare, and businesses.
Emily spread two small, local service/product lines across the country.
Tom Frank
Director of Analytics/Special Projects
Tom joined the NMSG team in early 2021. He has spent over 40 years in finance and accounting. From brokerage to broadcasting, from processing to distribution, Tom has helped clients and team members solve problems and grow their business. He learned customer service at a very young age while growing up in the family restaurant business. He is excited to assist NMSG clients and team members with reports, analysis, and other “special” projects as needed.
